Funny Things My Kids Have Done... This Week! Vol. 4

Our weeks are pretty busy around here. Before I know it, they are over and I think, "Did we do anything besides work?"Remembering the small things, the special moments, that is was keeps me grounded during these busy weeks. We have a book that asks one question every day for the kids to answer. If you keep up with it long enough, after three years, the kids will have answered the same questions three times. Each time they would be a year older. Right now, their answers are, at times, off the wall. So, I am excited to see how they change over the years. This past week, I asked, "Which age would you like to be? Why?"William, "9. Because when I be 9, I can do a back flip." This kid! He is obsessed with flips. You'll see more evidence of that later in the post.img_9719Wesley, "20. Because I can follow directions and not get in trouble anymore." Let's pray that when he's 20 he has the same mindset!!img_9811I bought this Q&A a day for Kids- 3-year Journal from Amazon as a Christmas present to myself. Check them out, there's a lot of fun options!Every Monday, William and I typically make a trip to the grocery store after the gym. This particular Monday, we only needed kids' toothpaste. They were totally out. So, we went to the grocery store. We spent around $60 on meat, snacks, and some staples. When we got home, before I unloaded the groceries, I looked at William..... "Dude, we have to go back. We didn't get your toothpaste." William very calmly replied to me in a matter-of-fact manner, "Well mommy, I remembered while we were at the store, but I didn't tell you. You know why? Because it's your responsibility."**crickets**I mean... he isn't wrong. He did say he would remind me next time. Oh, brother. We also had "Sweet Treats with Mom" this week at William's preschool. They do a fun Mother's Day celebration every year. You receive a scrapbook of the kid's entire time (including previous years) at the school, as well as whatever gifts they have made for you! It is so amazingly special. William's teachers are amazingly special. They did a wonderful job on the scrapbook and included so many great photos. Some I had never even seen before, which made it an even bigger surprise! One of the Mother's Day gifts I get every year is a paper, where your preschooler answers questions about their mom. It's my fave. Last week, William said he thought I was 90. Looks like he decided to drop some years from that!Notice what he thinks I'm really good at...img_9762...yep. Flips. His answer to "I love my mom because" melts my heart! Gosh, little boys are the best. I love love love being a boy mom.I am so incredibly blessed as a mommy. These guys are the epitome of love, kindness, and joy. They are also pretty darn funny!I would love to hear from you! Drop a comment, let me know what funny things your kids or fur babies have done recently!Don't forget to check out the crazy and funny things these precious boys of mine did last week, right here!Photos from the week:img_9738img_9777img_9717img_9734img_9756img_9758img_9765img_9764
